Bird, Bubble & Stream was Deanna Barnhardt Kawatski’s first-born book. Released in 1980, this was the same year that she gave birth to her first child, Natalia. The book is a sign post, marking the early days of her long and winding path as a published writer. It was published at the University of New Brunswick, as part of their Fiddlehead Poetry series. This slim relic maintains has a place in her heart, and on her book shelf. There are still a few copies kicking around and available for $10.00.
